Premier League Fixtures Released for 2026-27: Arsenal Host Coventry City on Opening Night

The Story of the Season Ahead

ARSENAL, the Premier League champions, will host SKYBET Championship champions Coventry City at the Emirates Stadium on opening night, Friday 21 August 2026 at 8 p.m., when Frank Lampard brings his side to face Mikel Arteta's defending champions first up.

The remaining Premier League opening weekend fixtures are spread across four days, with Hull City, the SKYBET Championship Play Off winners, hosting Manchester United at home on Saturday 22 August 2026 at 12.30 p.m. Other games on that day include Everton hosting Crystal Palace at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, Ipswich Town, promoted last season, beginning against Sunderland at Portman Road, Nottingham Forest hosting Leeds United at the City Ground, and in the teatime offering Brentford playing Tottenham Hotspur at the Gtech Community Stadium at 5.30 p.m.

On Sunday 23 August 2026 Brighton & Hove Albion host Aston Villa, Manchester City host AFC Bournemouth and Newcastle United play Liverpool.

The final game on Match Day 1 sees Fulham host Chelsea in the SW6 London derby at Craven Cottage on Monday 30 August 2026.

The pick of the games in Match Day 2 on 29/30/31 August, dates and times to be confirmed, include AFC Bournemouth v Everton, Aston Villa v Arsenal, Chelsea v Brighton & Hove Albion, Coventry City v Hull City, Crystal Palace v Manchester City, Leeds United v Brentford, Liverpool v Nottingham Forest, Manchester United v Ipswich Town, Sunderland v Fulham and Tottenham Hotspur v Newcastle United.

The season is concluded on Sunday 30 May 2027 when Arsenal host Brighton & Hove Albion, Aston Villa host Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea play Brentford, Coventry City host Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace entertain Leeds United, Hull City host Newcastle United, Ipswich Town host Everton, Liverpool play AFC Bournemouth, Manchester United welcome Fulham and Sunderland play Manchester City.
